Overview

AMK is known as one of the most challenging and demanding treks in Maharashtra. This thrilling range trek takes you across three mountains in just two days, offering an adrenaline-pumping experience with exhilarating climbs and rappelling sections.

Tour Plan

Day 0

Leave from Mumbai by local train, please note the following station boarding timings!
KASARA LOCAL TRAIN

  • 9:32 PM- CSMT
  • 9:50 PM- Dadar
  • 10:06 PM- Ghatkopar
  • 11:22 PM- Mulund
  • 10:27 PM- Thane
  • 10:51 PM- Dombivli
  • 11:03 PM- Kalyan
  • 12:13 PM- Kasara

Day 1

  • 1:00 AM – Assemble at Kasara Station, board a private vehicle, and begin our journey toward the AMK base village.
  • 4:00 AM – Arrive at the base village, rest for a while.
  • 6:00 AM – Enjoy breakfast before commencing our trek to Madan Fort.
  • 10:00 AM – Reach the summit of Madan Fort.
  • 11:00 AM – Explore the fort and relish a packed lunch.
  • 2:00 PM – Begin the ascent to Alang Fort.
  • 4:00 PM – Arrive at Alang Fort.
  • 5:00 PM – Explore Alang Fort, visit Ballekilla, and witness a breathtaking sunset.
  • 8:00 PM – Dinner followed by an overnight stay in tents inside the caves of Alang Fort.

Day 2

  • 5:30 AM – Wake-up call.
  • 6:00 AM – Sip on some tea and have breakfast.
  • 6:30 AM – Begin the descent from Alang Fort and trek toward Kulang Fort.
  • 10:00 AM – Reach the summit of Kulang Fort.
  • 12:00 PM – Start descending.
  • 1:00 PM – Reach the base village and have lunch.
  • 2:00 PM – Depart for Kasara Station.
  • 4:00 PM – Arrive at Kasara Station, marking the end of an incredible adventure… or perhaps the beginning of many more!

  • Torch with extra batteries
  • Ready to eat food like plum cakes, dry fruits etc.
  • Cap, Camera
  • Good Trekking shoes
  • Face mask & sanitizer
  • Jacket / Wind cheater as it would be cold
  • Personal care stuff, ORS, medicines which you require usually
  • Haversack to put all the things in, please do not carry sling bags or jholas

Disclaimer

  • It is trekking activity and not a leisure trip so one needs to prepare themselves accordingly.
  • Please avoid wearing Gold and other jewellery.
  • A planned activity or programs may be cancelled or revised depending on the weather or any other unavoidable circumstances.
  • We require atleast 6 participants to conduct the event. In an unlikely case where we don’t get the requisite number of participants, you have an option for FULL Refund or shifting to any other event.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellation charge of 15% would be deducted from the booking if cancelled 2 days before the event
  • No refund would be granted if cancelled within 2 days of the event

FAQs

How will you contact me once I register?
One day prior to event, we will send you an "event headsup" email with further details, instructions, event coordinator contact details, etc. Along with these, it will also consist of event specific Whatsapp group invite link. Kindly click on the link & join this group for further coordination. (Note: Keep an eye at your spam folder too)

What is the difficulty level of this trek?
This trek is of moderate to high difficultly and not recommended for first tme trekkers

What is the age limit for this trek?
The age limit for the trek is 18 years with no upper limit. Participants below the age of 18yrs need to be accompanied by a guardian

Can I come alone?
Yes, many of our participants are solo travellers.

Is it safe for a female solo traveller?
It is completely safe for a female solo traveller as our representatives will be there with you all the time. Moreover, most of our event have 60% female participation.

Can I Bring my Car?
Yes, you can bring your car

Are washrooms available during the trek?
You will not get washrooms during the trek. Washrooms are available at the base village.

Can we smoke or drink alcohol?
Smoking or drinking alcohol is prohibited.

Would I get cellular connectivity?
You will get limited connectivity during the trek.

Will I get water during the trek?
You won’t get water during the trek, you need to carry at least 2-3 litres of water with you

What if I have a medical emergency?
We will carry first aid kit with us. The coordinators will be first aid certified. If the problem increases, we will quickly get you to closest medical attention possible.

What kind of clothing we need to wear?
We recommend you wear full sleeve t-shirt and full pants. Also carry a Raincoat/ wind cheater for the rains. Umbrellas are a strict NO.

Do I need special shoes?
We recommend trekking shoes or good quality sports shoes with firm sole
